Jim's Story

​

I was educated in the Midwest, the University of Dayton to be exact, majoring in photography. After having enough of the midwest, I came back to NYC and took classes at the School of Visual Arts.I shot my first wedding in 1985. In a couple of years, armed with a 'Blad and a Metz flash,I was shooting weddings for a number of NJ studios.

In 1997, I opened Studio 4 photographics with a partner.We specialized in portraits, events, weddings and product photography.

In 2007, we closed the studio and went separate ways.I explored options in NYC. I continued with weddings and social events and added sports photography.

Presently, I shoot weddings, events, portraits, running events, triathlons and endurance races.

 When I am not creating images with my camera,I can be found competing in running and cycling in New Jersey and Central Park. I have competed in over 200 races and ran in Marathons in NYC, Chicago and Boston.

In my free time, I also practice martial arts, holding a Black Belt in Shorinjiryu Kenryukan Karate.
